The Sarda Group is a staunch believer in the fundamental principle of ‘equality’– equality towards caste, religion, gender, and creed. To reiterate this belief and promote this spirit initiated by the founder - Late Shri Bastiramji Sarda, the SEOA was constituted to commemorate his largesse.

The SEOA is a national level honour granted to deserving individuals or organizations of India for their commendable effort towards providing equal employment opportunities to women, backward classes and to those people who have been condemned to the lower strata of society.  With cash prize of Rs.7.5 lacs, the Sarda Equal Opportunities Award is granted amidst a grand ceremony and is revered as and recognized in the same league of a Magsaysay Award.
